What MathLab stores, why it needs it, and what stays private.

Information MathLab receives

• Authentication information needed to recognize a signed-in Clerk account. Clerk operates the account and sign-in service.
• MathLab Profile preferences: nickname, illustrated avatar, learning stage, language, support mode, country, broad region, optional subdivision and declared school, League choices, and onboarding state.
• Learning records: mathematical model events, checked Challenges, hint and support use, completion mode, explanation evidence, mastery projections, Spark Points, and saved-work snapshots.
• Operational records: sync status, bounded Math Coach usage metadata, and data-minimal public-beta events such as public page, coarse viewport class, CTA event, and timestamp.
• Information voluntarily included in the bounded in-app Beta Report form.

How the information is used

• Provide authentication, onboarding, saved work, progress, recommendations, Learning League choices, support, and security.
• Operate reviewed activities and calculate deterministic mastery and participation summaries.
• Keep the bounded Math Coach within quota, price, safety, and reliability limits.
• Understand whether the public beta journey works without advertising profiles, cross-site tracking, or response-speed ranking.

Service providers and connections

MathLab uses Clerk for authentication, Convex for MathLab-owned application data, Vercel for hosting and runtime logs, Resend for delivery of submitted Beta Reports, and OpenRouter plus a selected model provider only when generated Math Coach wording is requested. Verified Experien launches may connect an authoritative Experien Directory Person reference without copying Hub roles or organization schemas into MathLab.

MathLab does not sell learner information or use it for behaviorally targeted advertising. Service providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices as well as the controls configured by MathLab.

Public and private information

Learning League is optional and pseudonymous. A declared school, subdivision, legal name, mastery state, accuracy, speed, notes, and raw activity history are not part of the public League identity.

Support reports should omit sensitive learner information. Public-beta telemetry deliberately excludes account identifiers, learner names, school, answers, notes, scratchpad content, query strings, and fingerprints.

Retention, choices, and requests

Device progress can remain in the browser until site data is cleared. Server records remain while needed to provide the beta, maintain security and integrity, resolve support issues, and meet applicable obligations. Retention periods may change as the beta matures; material changes will be reflected here.

Learners can decline Learning League, choose its scopes, and use reviewed built-in Coach guidance when generated wording is unavailable. Contact the team to request access, correction, deletion, or help closing an account. Some records may be retained where required for security, legal, or integrity purposes.

Because MathLab is global and can be used by learners, the account creator and supervising adult or institution are responsible for meeting local age, consent, and authorization requirements. Contact the team before use when authorization is uncertain.
