Learning League stays pseudonymous

League can display only a MathLab nickname, illustrated avatar, Spark Points, and a rank or percentile band. It does not publish legal names, schools, exact locations, mastery, accuracy, response speed, or raw activity history.

Country, Region, and Global participation is optional. School and learning-group boards require verified Experien membership and minimum cohort safeguards.

Math Coach is bounded

• The learner chooses a fixed coaching intent rather than entering an open-ended chat.
• The Coach receives only student-visible mathematical context and never the hidden answer.
• Name, school, notes, scratchpad drawing, and exact location are excluded from the model request.
• Deterministic MathLab logic remains the source of mathematical truth; AI wording never grades work or changes mastery.
• If AI is unavailable or a response fails validation, MathLab returns reviewed built-in guidance.

AI routing and retention controls

When generated guidance is enabled, MathLab sends the bounded prompt through OpenRouter and requests Zero Data Retention routing while denying provider data collection. OpenRouter and the selected model provider still process the request and may retain non-content usage metadata needed to operate the service.

MathLab records coarse quota and reliability telemetry such as model, token counts, cost, duration, status, and validated response cache state. It does not use Coach text as mastery evidence.
